Scott advises institutional investors on operational due diligence, risk assessment, governance and manager oversight across public and private markets.


Before joining ORC, Scott was Head of Operational Due Diligence at USS Investment Management, where he designed and led the operational risk framework covering external managers and key service providers for one of the UK’s largest pension schemes.


Earlier in his career, Scott held roles at J.P. Morgan, including on its equity trading desk in London, where he assessed fund-linked derivative transactions and conducted due diligence on underlying hedge fund exposures. He also worked at Amber Partners, Royal Bank of Canada and PwC across operational risk, internal audit, business re-engineering and financial control.


Scott has extensive experience developing risk-based scoring methodologies, remediation frameworks, governance and compliance reviews, AML/KYC frameworks and supplier oversight programs. He has also served on investment committees and as a board member of investment firms.


Scott has been a CFA Charterholder since 2006 and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, as well as a qualified Chartered Accountant in Canada. He holds degrees from McGill University and Concordia University and speaks English, French and Chinese.
